****a post I rescued from the great Google cache *****
It’s a cool April evening on the RMS Titanic you strike a pose just like Kate or the little guy. The Atlantic air is refreshing. Life couldn’t get better. Unfortunately, later that that night, on April 14th, 1912, the ship enters an ice field in the North Atlantic. When the ship reaches its last known coordinates of 41° 44′N 50° 24’W, the Titanic strikes an iceberg and tragically sinks.

Nearly one hundred years later, on April 14th, 2009 you decided to retrace the rout of the doomed ocean liner. You sail to the Titanic’s last known coordinates. Even with all the climate ‘change’ you discover an ice field, similar to what sank the Titanic back in 1912.

Lately, ‘climate change’ or ‘global warming people’ are pointing to the ‘polar ice shelf collapsing’ as proof positive that the earth is warming. Don’t question them on it. As far as they’re concerned, this is a closed issue.
If the earth is warmer today, wouldn’t the polar ice caps be smaller? This would cause the ice fields of today to be less extensive and in a different location than in 1912? However, we have data showing that the ice fields are in the same location today as they were in 1912.
The fact is, ice in the Arctic region melt and freeze all the time, just ask Admiral Parry about the subject.

The Arctic sea ice is,in fact,at it’s HIGHEST level in the last 9 years.Don’t think Al Gore will be linking to this.

@The Observer: If this wasn’t such a serious threat to our economy and well being, it would be very funny.
