With an Eye on 2012, Pataki Launches Anti-ObamaCare Group – The Note

Former New York Gov. George Pataki, a Republican, is in Boston today to launch “RevereAmerica.org,” a new 501(c)(4) organization whose purpose is to build grass roots support for repealing and replacing President Obama's recently enacted health reform package.

“We're going to be in all 50 states. We’re going to mobilize at the grass roots to get at least a million signatures and e-mail addresses of people who will support us in working to repeal ObamaCare and replace it with a true health care reform,” said Pataki during a Sunday morning appearance on C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal.”

Pataki’s new group, whose name and launch date are intended to invoke Paul Revere, is the latest sign that the former New York governor is eyeing a run for president in 2012 against an incumbent president whom he sees as “arrogant,” “narrow-minded” and “demeaning” towards Tea Party activists who disagree with him.
