Scary Graphs: Gold, Silver and Copper vs. Dow Jones

I’ve been hearing a lot of noise regarding the “big September” for the Dow. However, if you compare gold prices against the Dow, things don’t look so good:

Or if you compare silver prices against the Dow:

Or if you compare copper prices against the Dow:

If you use gold, silver or copper as a baseline, the Dow Jones gains don’t looks so great.

    Year ago I bought a crap load of silver. I think I’ll hold onto for a bit longer. That and gold might be the only thing of worth in the near future. Great post Steve.

      Good call on the gold, especially silver for the future. And if copper keeps it up, I’m taking a hacksaw to the plumbing in my house.

      Pretty damn sad when the copper plumbing is worth more than a house in Michigan. It’s almost time to take the metals and run…

      John, good call on the silver. It seems poised to make its run up in price very soon.
