Observation About The 2012 Election…

There has been a tremendous amount of soul-searching in conservative circles about the election yesterday. I guess I’m a little late posting.

First off, I want to say that I can’t think of the last time I actually felt words hit me, physically, as when they said “Fox News calls Ohio for Obama.”

Now that a few hours have passed, I have to say I’m completely baffled the way the election shook out. For example, here in Michigan, we rejected every single ballot proposal put before voters. These proposals include Proposal 2 (a union power grab) and Proposal 3 (a ‘renewable energy’ mandate). These two Ballot proposals are issues Obama and Debbie Stabenow (one half of our Democrat Dynamic Duo in the Senate) are clearly in favor of. Yet, Michigan re-elects both Obama and Stabenow by a wide margin while not supporting two of their core issues.

It makes no sense.

The children won. They have sent their parents to bed without supper. The children are children. They don’t know what they voted for or against.

      That about sums it up.
