    I saw these guys in ’78 in Germany when they were lead in for Black Sabbath. Great chart on their song vocabulary.

    ‘Cradle’ as used by Classic Van Halen is not a verb, it’s a noun: ‘And the cradle will rock…’ Diamond David Lee Roth wouldn’t sing about cradling (verb) someone, he’d leave that to Sammy Hagar or Gary Cherone.
