I have a soft spot for the old Firebird / Tran-Am. It was the second new car I ever purchased. The bright red car was a blast to drive even though it was a ticket magnet (and had nothing to do with the driver).
Kinda sad that GM killed off Pontiac, and with it the Trans-Am.

When I was still a young officer in the USAF, I had a friend who got himself a brand new bright red convertible Firebird Tran-Am. I not much of a car fan, but I have to admit it looked good. Someone promptly stole it, of course.
Firebirds are definitely good looking cars. I would’ve been heartbroken if my Firebird was stolen.
