Democrats Mark Schauer And Gary Peters Starting To Feel The Heat

Mark Schauer and Gary Peters have both voted for two of the worst pieces of legislation (sight unseen) coming out of Washington in a long time.

A little over a week ago, both Schauer and Peters voted for the abysmal 1.9 Trillion dollar tax increase Cap & Trade. And earlier in the year, they both voted for the flop ‘Stimulus’ bill that was laden with special interest pork barrel spending that was never going to work in the first place.

Now, through their own doing, both Representatives Schauer and Peters are feeling the heat. Via CQ Politics:

The National Republican Congressional Committee and state GOP organizations have begun targeting freshman House Democrats from swing districts who voted for the spending package, contending that the lawmakers accomplished little except to saddle debt on future generations of Americans.

“Why can’t Kilroy admit that she made a mistake in supporting this wasteful spending bill?” the NRCC said in one such broadside fired at Ohio’s Mary Jo Kilroy . Other first-term House Democrats on the Republicans’ list include Mark Schauer and Gary Peters of Michigan and Eric Massa of New York.

Vote for a massive and fictitious stimulus spending bill that doesn’t stimulate the economy and for massive energy tax based on the fictitious premise of global warming, calling it a jobs bill, the congressmen should expect a lot of heat.
