Everyone Is A Music Critic
Some people are never happy. Post dozens of great rock and roll music video’s and barely a comment. Post one (well, I’ve posted more than one, but the ‘Jersey Boy‘ doesn’t need to know this) solo violin performance and now I’m some sort of snob elitist.
Sheesh!

Anastasia Khitruk
The critic even suggests that I need to post more Banjo music. You know, the type of banjo music they play in Deliverance.
Sorry, it’s not happening.
However, because some people aren’t happy I’ll post one of my favorite Southern Rock songs by Lynyrd Skynrd.
Maybe my Jersey critic would be happier if I posted some Bon Jovi or somthing like that.
Naaa…..

Bon Jovi? Are you gonna start wearing a skirt too?
@theCL: The Bon Jovi comment was more directed at our Jersey friend.
Yeah I know. I just felt like pickin’ on you.
Let’s see … We’ve got Ted Nugent, Kid Rock, Alice Cooper, MC5, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Bob Seger, Eminem, Taproot, The White Stripes, 50 cent …
New Jersey … Bon Jovi and “the boss.”
We win!
@theCL: Rick Derringer, The Rockets, Marshall Crenshaw, John Lowery (John 5), Grand Funk Railroad, Mitch Ryder, Glenn Frey, Von Bondies, Howling Diablos, Uncle Kracker….
I could go on, but I see no need to keep piling on…
Touche’ Steve.
That’s what happens when you drink a handle of whiskey and stay up until 10 the next morning. I don’t even remember posting that.
@Russ: I was cracking up reading your post this morning before heading out. It was hysterical!
Here is simply the best jazz video of all time. Period. Even if you don’t like jazz (but who doesn’t?).

@Dewey From Detroit: That’s great 60’s jazz.
The Mrs. isn’t a big fan of most of my musical choices (not really a big fan of guitar shredding) but she really loved the video you suggested.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Ouch!
I tried to keep the list short, didn’t want to insult him. But you’re right, we could go on all day long! Gotta throw one more in tough … Stevie Wonder …
Y’know, I personally like classical violin… But violin doesn’t have to be classical OR stuffy.
My oldest (who is one of those people that can play any intrument the first time he picks it up) can do some… intersting things with a violin. Like Nirvana, Green Day, and some other very non-classical numbers.
@Scratcher: I enjoy classical violin as well. Sounds like your son is very talented.
@theCL: … The Romantics, Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, The Insane Clown Possee, Madonna, Was (Not Was), Rare Earth, The Verve Pipe…..
Has that ever been done? Two trackbacks? Am I a trailblazer?
Fuck Neil Young.
Seriously though, I only needed 10 points for the chicken dinner.
Shit!
@Russ: I’m not really sure, but I think two trackbacks are a record.
