Lingenfelter 455 T/A Concept Heading To SEMA
This is one cool concept car. Via Car and Driver:
Given Pontiac’s demise, it’s clear there won’t be any factory-baked Pontiac Trans-Am coming from General Motors. Enter the aftermarket, which has become suddenly eager to serve buyers wanting a new-school T/A. Indeed, joining the conversion kit offered by Phoenix is this Lingenfelter take on turning your brand-new Camaro SS into the modern Trans-Am of your dreams. The concept debuts in the metal at this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas.
This is one sharp car…

In case you’re wondering about the specs:
Besides the new redesign and the 20-inch honeycomb wheels, the Lingenfelter 455 T/A Concept gets a 455-cubic-inch V8 that helps pump out 655-hp with a maximum torque of 610 lb-ft.
Other modifications include:
- Corsa custom stainless exhaust
- Lingenfelter 6 bolt LS9 twin disk flywheel and clutch assembly
- Heavy duty driveshaft
- Nitto tires
- Custom classic interior
- Custom 71 Trans Am inspired exterior
And more pics…

I wish I was going to SEMA…

Came in via the “Bloggers for Sarah Palin” blogroll – gotta say I don’t know much about cars, but that looks really awesome. 655 hp? I don’t even know what to do with 120.
@ashok: It’s really cool. It’s a 2010 Camaro dressed up to look like an early 70’s Pontiac Trans Am (Think Smokey and the Bandit). Plus the tuner, Lingenfelter, put a super high power motor in for a little extra kick.
I try to mix things up on the site with things that interest me, automotive, some sports, music and politics.
Thanks for stopping by and the comment.
Yeah, that is sweet!
@theCL: GM should build… Oh wait, they can’t. GM killed Pontiac.
