2009 November 28
A love for tradition has never weakened a nation, indeed it has strengthened nations in their hour of peril.
How PC Can you get. Via Hometown Life.com:
The idea was to create a festive holiday shopping experience, and with 60-plus vendors, free appetizers, holiday music, cash bar, complimentary chair massages and more, Dec. 2 could help people get a jump start on their holiday shopping.
One sentence and and avoided the offensive word Christmas three times.

Are they going to only play holiday music that doesn’t mention Christmas? Or do you think maybe they’ll just bleep that?
What about Santa Claus? Even though not a religious figure, isn’t he so closely associated with Christmas as to bring that word to mind?
PC has gone too far.
@Cynical Synapse: They will play “Winter Wonderland” (It doesn’t contain the dreaded ‘C’ word) over and over.
Looking at the chamber’s site, it doesn’t appear there will be a Santa, Rudolph or any other of the traditional trappings (I won’t go there about the nativity scene).

…Bleeping out Christmas, I can hear it now:
Rocking around the >BLEEP< Tree
at the >BLEEP< party hop
Mistletoe hung where you can see
Ev'ry couple tries to stop
You will get a sentimental feeling When you hear voices singing
"Let's be jolly; Deck the halls with boughs of holly" Rocking around the >BLEEP< Tree
I’m sure they would be conflicted about the mistletoe and the boughs of holly…
